Marr-Mac Dance has been teaching children the love of dance and music since 1968. In 2018 we are celebrating our 50th anniversary! Our philosophy is to encourage students of all abilities, appreciating that some dancers want to dance competitively and possibly choose dance as a career, while others dance for recreation and physical fitness. We offer both competitive stream and recreational stream programs. We even keep in mind teen and adult dancers who may want to begin dance later and we offer specific programs for those dancers. Even teen dancers who would like to compete have an option to do so at Marr-Mac. Our instructors are carefully chosen and share the same philosophy; to encourage all students regardless of their natural talent and ability. Good strong quality technique and instruction is offered in a warm and friendly environment. Marr-Mac prides itself in offering an alternative studio atmosphere. We welcome male and female dancers from age 3 years to Adult. Our program runs 10 months September to June with evening and Saturday classes in multiple disciplines; Creative Movement, Russian Vaganova Ballet, Boys Ballet, Classical Partnering, Jazz, Contemporary, Glee Club, Tap, Stretch & Strength, Lyrical, Highland, Irish, Bollywood and Injury prevention classes.
Adult Ballet, Adult Strength & Stretch, Adult Tap. We are centrally located in Old Strathcona in Edmonton and are on a great bus route. Dancers and parents can find a meal or beverage nearby in the many restaurants in walking distance. Several summer dance camps are offered in July & August for ages 3-11 yrs. Arts groups looking for studio space for rent are welcome to rent one or more of our 4 spacious studios. Our facility is also a great place to host children's dance - birthday parties.
