    The Kings County Museum is home to over 16,000 artifacts, plus houses the genealogy information of the Kings County Historical & Archival Society. A highlight of our collection is the Confederation Quilt, a crazy quilt created in 1864 from pieces of the ball gowns worn by the ladies at the Charlottetown Conference in 1864. The old Kings County Gaol is also open for tours during the summer or by appointment during the off-season.

    The 8th Hussars Museum collects, preserves, and interprets the history of the 8th Canadian Hussars (Princess Louise’s), other military units and Camp Sussex including many local veterans. Located in the historic Train Station in Sussex, NB where countless soldiers arrived by rail to train at Camp Sussex and later to serve in the South African War, WWI and WWII.
