Museum complex with 6 display buildings including a converted 1854 church, original lighthouse, working Blacksmith shop, band saw shed, boat shop and new wind and Wave Building. Also a cafe and gift shop on site and wharf walkway along a tidal river. Interpretive hands on tours tell the history of the area particularly the lumbering and Shipbuilding. As a hands on museum there are many opportunities to handle things and hear personalized stories from the community. There are 2 films available for viewing if you wish, and then you can relax with a bowl of delicious seafood chowder and biscuit or a fresh made sandwich , delicious breakfast item or sweet. Group tours can be customized a bit to include a beach walk or hands on tool working.
