A Gift of Art

Welcome to A Gift of Art, Newcastle’s local gallery for local artists! We are a not-for-profit charity showcasing art in all forms, Our mission is to support local artists who must live within 35 miles of 55 k of Newcastle. It is our vision to increase the love for the arts - all the arts so we have as well as paintings, glass, jewellery, textile art, wood, pottery, writers - books, an art library, etc. We also have a drama section, a photography club, hold poetry in the garden sessions and enjoy music in the summer months outdoors. A Gift of Art is the perfect place to view and/or purchase some local art. This art we like to say is Toronto quality at Newcastle prices
For adults we offer a large variety of classes and workshops, ranging from watercolour to encaustic, as well as watercolour batik, acrylic, crochet, pottery and more.
For children we have PA day art classes, Saturday Art clubs and Christmas, March break and Summer Art Camps.
It is a great place to stop in for a visit. During the winter months we have a weekly speaker series, an indoor farmers market as well as drop in classes.

Once a year, usually the second weekend in July we host a large art show and sale in the Newcastle Memorial Arena. It is free admission. We hope you can come Check out the website.
